Vivo is back at it again, surprising fans with the V60 launch just six months after the V50. The big question: Is this a rushed update or a meaningful upgrade? I got my hands on the new Vivo V60, and here’s my quick unboxing and first look.



Unboxing & First Feel

The V60 comes in a sleek black box flaunting the “Engineered with Zeiss” badge — a clear hint that camera performance is a big focus. Inside the box, you’ll find:

  • The phone itself

  • Transparent protective case

  • USB-C cable

  • 90W Flash Charger

  • SIM ejector tool

First impressions? Premium feel. The slight camera bump isn’t distracting, and the Diamond Shield Glass adds durability (yes, I gave it a little drop test on a table — no scratches!).

You get three colour options:

  • Auspicious Gold (glass back)

  • Gray (polycarbonate)

  • Classic Blue (glass)

At 201g, it’s sturdy without feeling bulky.


Display & Audio

The 6.77-inch FHD+ micro quad-curved display is gorgeous. The ultra-slim bezels make it immersive, and HDR10+ support makes Netflix and YouTube content pop.

Paired with stereo speakers, watching videos or gaming feels rich and engaging.


Performance Upgrade

Under the hood, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 takes over from the previous Gen 3, and the difference is noticeable. Apps open faster, gaming is smoother, and multitasking is effortless.

Storage & RAM options go up to 16GB RAM + 512GB storage, so heavy users are well covered.


Battery & Software

A 6500mAh battery means no mid-day charger panic — it comfortably lasts more than a day and a half. And if you do run low, the 90W fast charging gets you back up in minutes.

Running on Funtouch OS (Android 15), Vivo promises 4 years of major updates and 6 years of security patches — impressive longevity for an Android phone.
